Laura was raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota but moved to Colorado in 2015. Prior to discovering her passion for training dogs, most of Laura's experience with animals involved working with horses in a variety of settings, including volunteering for a therapeutic riding organization during college. Laura adopted her first dog in 2016, and was inspired after working with him and his behavior issues. Prior to working at Mountain Ridge, Laura spent three years training dogs in a shelter where she quickly learned more about behavior modification, handling dogs, and dog-dog interactions. Outside of work Laura enjoys hiking and skiing. She currently lives in Arvada with her dogs, Zade and Ruca.
