Dr. Kendra Fryburg

Dr. Fryburg has one of those personalities that instantly makes you feel at ease. She radiates warmth, kindness, and a calm, grounded presence that comforts both pets and their people. Her gentle approach, compassionate heart, and genuine love for helping others make her an incredible veterinarian, and we feel so fortunate to have her as part of the Mountain Ridge team!

Dr. Fryburg has wanted to be a veterinarian since she was just five years old. Her grandmother shared her love for animals with her from a young age, and some of Dr. Fryburg’s favorite childhood memories are helping care for her pets and foster animals. Even as a little girl, she knew she wanted to help animals and found comfort and acceptance in their presence. That passion never faded! Originally from Texas, Dr. Fryburg spent much of her childhood in Ohio before heading to Kentucky for undergrad, Alabama for veterinary school, and Tennessee, where she began practicing in 2003. We’re so grateful that her journey eventually led her here to Colorado and to Mountain Ridge ! Although she doesn’t currently have any pets, her heart will always belong to her “soul dog,” Shelby, a beautiful blue-eyed red merle Australian Shepherd who was by her side for over 15 wonderful years. She also has a special love for horses, elephants, and dolphins.

Tidbits and Trifles:

Zen Vibes – Dr. Fryburg enjoys walking in nature, meditating, practicing yoga or Qigong, and taking in Colorado’s beautiful mountain views. These are just a few of the many things that bring peace to her life.

Mind, Body & Soul – She is passionate about personal and spiritual development and enjoys exploring healthy ways to support longevity and overall wellness.

Wanderlust – While Colorado’s mountain views are hard to beat, she has a special love for the ocean and finds the sights, sounds, and smells incredibly peaceful and healing.

Dance the Night Away – One of her favorite hobbies is salsa dancing!

A Day in the Life:

For Dr. Fryburg, being a veterinarian is about so much more than medicine. She strives to be a caring, grounded, and compassionate presence for every patient and the people who love them. Building meaningful connections and helping families through every stage of their pet’s life is what fills her heart. She also says that working alongside the Mountain Ridge team over the years has been one of the greatest blessings, and that we have truly become her second family. We couldn’t agree more!
