Veronica

Veronica is a nice & calm asset to our team. It's perfect because the angry & scared dogs love her, and she loves them. She has a way to calm them down and make them feel comfortable. It's a special gift that not all have. We love that about her and we also love that she truly enjoys her career as a Vet Tech.

Veronica joined the MRAH Team in September of 2021. Before that, she graduated with her BS in 2013. She actually become interested in the veterinary field while she was working at CSU on Tuberculosis research. She learned that getting her CVT (Vet Tech certification) could actually further her current career at the time, so she went back to school, at Front Range Community College. She got her Vet Tech degree there, and graduated in 2017. She intended to go back to research after that, but during her clinical practice internship at CSU VTH, she fell in love with the vet field. She said goodbye to research and never looked back after that! Veronica was born and raised in Colorado. She has 4 pets: Leo, Bagheera, & Penny, the domestic short hair cats, and Maximus the Aussi mix. She loves to spend time with her husband who she met when she was 13 years old, and together they have a beautiful daughter named Rae.

Tidbits & Trifles:

Just Dance:  Veronica says that when she is not working with her hands and being artsy, she loves to dance. She is trained in ballet and jazz. She also learned to salsa dance in college when she was getting her BS in Microbiology.

Well Traveled: She loves to travel and has been to London and Paris

A Day in the Life:

What is your favorite part about your Vet Tech routine?

“My favorite part of being a CVT is the client education and the relationships I get to build with them. I believe the relationship we have with a patient’s caregiver sets the foundation for preventative care and a patient’s quality of life.”
